Larne Ladies have captured their first signing of the season bringing in Charlotte Thompson from Carnmoney Ladies.

After winning the Division 1 title last season, the management have moved quickly to bring in Charlotte as they prepare for the challenge of the Championship.

With 20 goals and nine assists for Carnmoney Ladies in the last campaign, Charlotte is a striker with a keen eye for goal and will be a quality addition to both Ladies senior sides.

Charlotte, who has also had spells with St Mary’s ladies and Danske Bank Women’s Premiership side Crusaders Strikers, spoke of her delight to sign for the club.

She said: “I’m really happy and excited to sign for Larne. I’m looking forward to the challenge and to hopefully win some trophies.”

Gary Hood, Olympic Manager at the club (pictured with Charlotte above), had this to say about the signing: “It’s fantastic to have Charlotte signing for the club.

“She has been down training with us recently, is the first to arrive, works very hard every session and is fantastic in front of goal.

“We’re very excited continue her development and see the quality that she can add to both the Olympic and the first team ahead of the new season.”
