Shot stopper Buckley makes Inver return

Larne Ladies are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Angela Buckley.

Angela re-joins the Inver Reds after a spell with Lisburn Ladies in the Championship last season, with the Lisburn side having been promoted to the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership.

Manager William Noble is extremely pleased to add the shot stopper to his squad.

He said: ‘I am delighted that Angela has decided to come back and join us ahead of what will be a tough and challenging season for us in the NIWFA Championship. She will bring great experience to our back line as we look to once again challenge for the title.’

Angela herself can’t wait to get going, having returned to Inver Park.

“I’m delighted to re-sign for the club ahead of what will be a challenging season,” she said.

“Having spoken to William multiple times I can clearly see there is a successful pathway and that it is something I look forward to being a part of and I hope that my contribution for the forthcoming season can help the team reach their target.”

The Ladies are back in action on Sunday as they host newly-formed Ballyclare Comrades Ladies in a friendly, when Angie will be in line to make her debut.
