We are very pleased to announce Ryley D’Sena has become the latest Scholar at the club to sign a professional contract at Inver Park.
The 19-year-old Australian defender has been at the club for the last two years on the Scholarship programme, and is the latest of the crop to impress Tiernan Lynch with his progress.
Ryley made his debut on the final day of the 2020/21 season and has been a regular for the Larne Olympic side, as well as training with the first team squad since then.
He becomes the seventh player from the club’s Academy to sign on professional terms with Matty Lusty, Nick Aretzis, Max Greer, Dylan Sloan, Harry Adair & Conall Curran all having done likewise.
Manager Tiernan Lynch paid tribute to Ryley’s dedication to make it in the game.
“Ryley has made great progress in his time with the club and is developing into a very good young player,” he said.
“His dedication, in moving literally halfway around the world, to pursue career in football shows his hunger.
“Like a number of young players at the club, he is brought into the senior environment on a regular basis which helps him to learn from the players around him and also provides him with a good test.
“Supporters have also had an opportunity to see him when he’s been involved with the senior team on matchdays, such as the friendly at Dundalk.
“Like all of the other young lads he has earned his contract at the club and we will not sit down with him to see what is best for the next step in his development.”
