Proposed Linfield Sky clash postponed

Larne Football Club has been informed that our Danske Bank Premiership game at home to Linfield on Monday 2nd September has been postponed.

The encounter, due to be our first game broadcast live on Sky Sports, will be played at a later date, yet to be decided.

NIFL have released the following statement:

“The NI Football League can advise supporters of a change of one of the scheduled live Danske Bank Premiership television broadcasts next month.

“Larne v Linfield in the Danske Bank Premiership (Monday 2 September) has been postponed at the request of Linfield, who have three players unavailable due to International call-ups. No new date for this fixture has been set at this stage.

“With this game due to have been broadcast live on Sky Sports; Glentoran v Institute has now been selected for live coverage on Monday 2 September (kick-off: 7.45pm) – this Danske Bank Premiership clash had originally been scheduled for Saturday 31 August.”
