Pre-season friendlies confirmed as Euro preparations continue

As preparations continue for a second successive European campaign the club have confirmed three pre-season friendlies.

There will be opposition from Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland for Tiernan Lynch’s men ahead of the Europa Conference League first qualifying round, which is due to kick-off on Thursday 7th July.

First up for the Invermen will be a short trip over the border to take on League of Ireland side Dundalk at Oriel Park. The friendly will take place on Saturday 18th June, with a 3pm kick-off.

Stephen O’Donnell’s side are currently in the mid-season break and have made an impressive start under the new manager, sitting in second place in the table.

Following this Larne will travel to Scotland for a game against Hamilton Academical. The game is scheduled for Thursday 23rd June, kick-off 1pm.

The final game arranged ahead of the European kick-off is at home to reigning Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints at Inver Park on Wednesday 29th June. To accommodate The Saints’ travel plans this game will kick-off at 2pm.

The Invermen are back in training in just over a week’s time, starting on Monday 13th June, while the draw for the First Qualifying Round takes place a day later.

As ever, pre-season fixtures are subject to change.
