Positive Influences Programmes launched at Inver Park

Larne Football Club is delighted to announce the launch of the Positive Influences Programme as part of the club’s ongoing community engagement work.

Positive Influences will see all local primary schools in the area receive two free match tickets for every home home league game.  Each school can use these tickets to reward pupils they feel deserve recognition from the previous week.

The club have piloted this recently with both Larne and Inver Primary School and St MacNissi’s Primary School, with winners attending the Larne vs Glenavon league game.

Giving his thoughts on the Positive Influences Programme, Principal of Larne and Inver Primary School, Mr Patterson said: “This is a great programme. Larne FC has brought an additional buzz to our school and it is super to see so many children excited about their local team.

“These tickets are a great incentive for children and will be used in different ways in our school to promote creative writing, positive behaviour and teamwork. I hope to come along and support the team myself in the near future!”

The Principal of St MacNissi’s Primary School, Mr McComb, also shared his thoughts on the programme, stating: “Larne Football Club have a history of very positive involvement in St MacNissi’s PS.

“The club’s latest involvement centred around their Positive Influences Programme and resulted in a number of players visiting the school, meeting and speaking with the children, and presenting us with tickets for the match against Glenavon; a match Larne won 6-0!

“The tickets were used to reward one of our Primary 5 pupils, Lewis Hughes, for the effort and determination he is investing into his work and his school day so far this year.

“He and his Dad had a tremendous time at the game, helped obviously by the result! May I say thank you to the club not only for the tickets, but also for their involvement in and partnership with the school over recent years. Long may it continue.”

We look forward to welcoming many new supporters through this initiative throughout the season.
