FIRST team manager Tiernan Lynch has confirmed further details of his side’s pre-season campaign, including a week-long training camp in Poland.
A total of six pre-season games have been confirmed for Inver Park throughout June and July, giving fans a number of opportunities to see how the squad is progressing as they prepare for their first season back in the top flight in more than a decade.
Among those coming to Inver will be a Huddersfield XI side, East Antrim neighbours Ballyclare Comrades and Larne Tech Old Boys, fresh from a title-winning season of their own.
Entry prices have been set at just £5 for adults and £2 for concessions. Those who have purchased their season tickets will receive 50% off these prices upon production of their card at the turnstiles.
There is also a free, open training session planned for Saturday 22nd June at Inver Park, with players and management available for photographs and autographs immediately afterwards.
The training session takes place in-between the prize giving planned for Larne Youth players, with various festivities in the Inver Park fanzone on the day. More details of this special occasion will follow.
Tiernan Lynch also believes the club’s training camp, taking place close to Gdansk in Poland, from the 6th to 13th July, will provide an invaluable time of preparation.
He said: “We believe the training camp is a must. When we think back to Andorra last year, it was not only the amount of work we did on the field, but the work we did off the pitch stood us in such good stead.
“It bonded the squad together so well, and that will be key again, with us bringing in five or six new players this season.
“So, it’s a big trip for us this year and something we feel is vitally important.
The pre-season action kicks-off this Saturday, at home Crumlin United, with a 3pm kick-off.
