Navid Nasseri departs Inver Park

Navid Nasseri has left Inver Park after it was mutually agreed to end his contract.

The former Glentoran and Linfield player arrived at the club in August 2021 from Windsor Park, in a deal which saw Marty Donnelly move in the opposite direction.

The attacker went on to play 30 times in total for the Invermen, as Tiernan Lynch’s side qualified for European football via the play-offs and won the County Antrim Shield.

The 25-year-old now becomes a free agent and leaves with the club’s best wishes, as boss Tiernan Lynch explains.

He said: “Navid had another year left on his contract but as we discussed the future we both agreed it would be best to allow him to explore other options.

“He is able to do that now as a free agent and it allows the club move in a different direction with the transfer window open.

“Navid goes with our thanks and we wish him well, wherever his career takes him next.”
