6. JOHN HERRON

Midfielder

Player Sponsor: CASA KERR VILLA

John is a creative midfield player, who arrived at Inver Park in the January 2020 transfer window, one day before his 26th birthday.

He came to the club after a year and a half at Danske Bank Premiership rivals Glentoran.

Before this stint at the Oval, John spent the vast majority of his career in his native Scotland, with a brief stintΒ south of the border, in England.

He began his career at Glasgow Celtic, making his way through the ranks from youth teams to the first team, under then-boss Neil Lennon.

Following his departure from Parkhead, he spent a season with Blackpool, before moving back north for a loan spell at Cowdenbeath.

His permanent departure from Bloomfield Road saw him spend a year with Raith Rovers ahead of arriving at Glentoran.

John has also been capped at every underage group with Scotland, right up to under-21 level.
