13. MIKE ARGYRIDES

Goalkeeper

Canadian goalkeeper Michael Argyrides joined Larne from Dundela in June 2021. He signed for the East Belfast side after impressing in 3 friendly fixtures. However, due to the cancellation of the Championship season, he never made a league appearance for Dundela.

Mike has previously played university football in Canada and won gold in the 2017 Canada Summer Games with Team Ontario. Whilst searching for a team, Argyrides got in touch with former Larne goalkeeping coach Michael Dougherty. Their relationship led to him making the move to Northern Ireland to play his football. The 22-year-old is a tall imposing presence in the goal but he is comfortable with the ball at his feet.

His Larne debut came in a pre-season friendly against Kilmarnock and he was part of the squad for the Europa Conference League campaign.
