McDaid stunner earns first Oval victory in more than 40 years

Davy McDaid struck 20 minutes from time to earn Larne a 3-2 Danske Bank Premiership victory at the Oval in an pulsating contest.

Larne had twice led – through Andy Scott and an own goal – but were twice pegged back by goals from Jay Donnelly and Tomas Cosgrove’s unfortunate O.G.

McDaid looped the ball over Aaron McCarey from 25 yards however, to earn Larne’s first win away to Glentoran since 1978.
