Matchday Guide: Larne v Linfield, Tuesday 28th January

The second visit of the ‘Big Two’ sees Linfield visit Inver Park on Tuesday night (7.45pm) in the highly anticipated rescheduled fixture from the start of the season. Both teams will be looking to kick on from their wins at the weekend, with Linfield beating Glenavon 8-1 and Larne defeating then top of the table Glentoran 2-1.

Tickets and Entry 

Online ticket sales have been suspended for this match. Any tickets already purchased online by home supporters will still be accepted and scanned at the turnstiles as normal. Tickets already purchased online for this game are for home fans only. Please note that away tickets for Linfield fans have SOLD OUT. Any Linfield fans without a ticket will not be permitted entry into the stadium.

Non-Season Ticket holders will be able to buy tickets up until the match from the club offices during the day and 1889 Sports & Social Club at night. On Tuesday, the Ticket Kiosk will be open from 6:15pm up until kick off.

Parking facilities are available for supporters at Riverdale car park, which is just a short walk to the stadium.

Away Fans

Tickets for Linfield supporters are now SOLD OUT. Away supporters will be situated in the Larne Port and P&O Ferries McKay Stand, with supporters being required to enter the stadium via Church Road.

1889 Sports & Social Club

There will be live pre and post-match entertainment in 1889, with GAS taking to the stage to get the supporters in the mood! GAS will be performing from 6:30 – 7:30pm and then again from 9.30-11pm after the match.

The drink of the day in 1889 is one for all of the gin lovers! Get yourself a Tanquerary Gin and Tonic with berries and honeycomb for just £4.50 all night!

Club Shop

The Club Shop at Inver Park will be open from 6:30 – 7:30pm on Tuesday. Supporters will be able to purchase our Nike merchandise range as well as a range of miscellaneous items, to cheer on the team.

Matchday Programme

A new edition of our popular 36-page Match Programme will be available to purchase within the main car park before the game on Tuesday night. Priced at just £3, this week’s edition is full of interesting articles, stats and matchday images and interviews with Mark Randall and Kenny Shiels. These will be available from our roaming sellers and the Ticket Kiosk. The edition is a must purchase for anyone wishing to sample the full matchday experience.

Brighter Futures Shirt Swap

This week’s Brighter Futures Shirt Swap prize is a Dean Jarvis home shirt. Ballot tickets can be purchased from any of our roaming sellers for just £1, with the winner being announced over the PA system during the first half. All money raised from purchased ballot tickets will go to the club’s official charity, Brighter Futures, which supports the local community with things that matter to them.

The Opposition

Linfield will come into the game full of confidence after their 8-1 victory over Glenavon at Windsor Park on Saturday. Unbeaten in their last five league games, winning three and drawing two, it sets up a mouth-watering clash.
