Matchday Guide: Larne v Glentoran, Friday 18th October

After a quick turnaround from Tuesday night’s trip to The Oval in the Co. Antrim Shield, it is our turn to play hosts as we welcome Glentoran to Inver Park on Friday night. The league encounter, which will be shown live on BBC 2, is one which has been marked in the dairies of supporters for some months. Below is everything you need to know in order to maximise the matchday experience at Inver Park.

Tickets

Tickets are available online now (link: https://www.larnefc.com/tickets/) and we would ask that supporters use our online system ahead of the game to ensure faster entry on the night. Admission fees as normal are £12 for adults and £8 for concessions, Season Ticket holders can use their card at the turnstile to gain admission into the stadium. Our Ticket Kiosk will be in operation on the night, opening at 6.30pm.

Opposition Fans

Friday night’s match will be segregated and away fans are asked to enter the stadium via Church Road before proceeding to the Bleach Green End through turnstiles 7 and 8. On site for away supporters we will provide hot food available along with tea and coffee facilities. If supporters have any queries upon arrival to Inver Park, please don’t hesitate in speaking to the closest steward for assistance.

1889 Club

1889 Sports & Social Club will be open from 4pm, officially kicking of its #InverFest weekend. Friday’s matchday offers include:

  • 3  bottles of German Beer – £10
  • Magners Orchard Berries / Magners Strawberry & Lime – £3
  • Gordon’s with Lemonade, Honeycomb & Berries – £4

Post-match, Women’s Aid ABCLN will kick-off the weekend with a fundraiser with live music from Dynamic Soul.

Club Shop

Our club shop, located in the main car park, will be open from 6:30pm on the night of the match. With the recent arrival of new stock, our winter Nike merchandise will be available for purchase, alongside casualwear and small goods.

Car Parking

There will be car parking facilities available for supporters at Riverdale, Laharna Retail Park and First Larne Church. We would urge supporters to make full use of these car parking facilities that are available and avoid parking in areas in and around the stadium to keep congestion to a minimum.

Matchday Programme

Our popular Matchday Programme will be available at the Ticket Kiosk and from our roaming sellers around the stadium. For just £3, you will receive 32 pages filled with interviews, stats and matchday images. This week’s edition carries interviews with Albert Watson and former manager Paul Malone.

Half-Time Entertainment

At half-time, Women’s Aid ABCLN will present our Chairman with a framed edition of their White Ribbon Charter. This presentation will be the final steps as Inver Park becomes a ‘Safe Place’ for anyone suffering at the hands of domestic violence. After a year of hard work, numerous events and staff training, we look forward to receiving our charter from Women’s Aid and will seek to open up a new chapter of community work with them.

The Opposition

Meeting for the second time in three days, the Invermen will come into to this game keen to avenge Tuesday’s 3 – 2 defeat to Glentoran in the Toals Co. Antrim Shield. The Glens are currently occupying 5th place in the league and come into this game with two wins from their last five league games.
