The Invermen are back in action again this weekend in what will be our penultimate pre-season training match. This Saturday, the Inver Reds face Bluefin Sport Championship side Knockbreda away at Breda Park with a 2pm kick-off.

Tickets and Travel

Knockbreda have informed the club that away fans WILL be allowed into the game.

Fans are advised that there will be NO physical tickets for the game and, instead, there will be the opportunity to pay at the gate. Ticket prices will be set at £5 for adults while children will be allowed in FREE of charge.

Covid-19 Guidelines and Regulations

It is vital that supporters follow all current guidance set out by the Northern Ireland Executive such as adhering to social distancing both outside and inside the ground. There will be a snack bar for food and refreshments and a bar facility within the ground, all adhering to the latest coronavirus regulations.

As this is an ever-changing situation, we advise that supporters keep a close eye on both our social media channels for any updated information.

The 1889 Sports & Social Club opens at 12pm and will be showing Premier League action live throughout the day, including:

Brighton & Hove Albion VS Manchester United (12:30)

Crystal Palace vs Everton (15:00)

West Bromwich Albion VS Chelsea (17:30)

Burnley vs Southampton (20:00)

No table booking is required for supporters before or after the game as the inside bar is now open in line with the latest Government Guidance.

Team news

The Inver Reds are in good shape going to Breda Park on Saturday after a 1-0 home win on Saturday against another Championship side in Annagh United. They are again boosted by the likely return of David McDaid and Conor Mitchell after both players shook off their minor injuries. However, Jonathan McMurray and Conor McKendry are still pushing to be back in the squad after their long-term injuries.

The Opposition

Knockbreda have strengthened over the summer, with Stephen Garrett having arrived from Cliftonville as a player coach and winger Dylan Davidson, formerly of Glentoran is added to their squad. Former Inver Reds’ striker Cillin Gilmour also bolsters the opposition’s squad.
