Matchday Guide – Ballymena United vs Larne

The Inver Reds are in action this weekend, taking on Ballymena United in the second eagerly anticipated Shane’s Hill derby of the season. This time around it’s our supporters turn to travel over Shane’s Hill to the Ballymena Showgrounds. We anticipate a large and vocal support will be attending the game and have prepared all of the information supporters will need below.

Tickets

Tickets can be purchased at the turnstiles upon entry to the Ballymena Showgrounds. Larne supporters must enter via the Warden Street end as there will be segregation in place during the game. The pre-set NIFL prices apply as normal, with admission costing £12 for adults and £8 for concessions.

Bodega Reds’ will also be running a bus from Q-Club Larne which departs at 1.30pm. Again, supporters seeking more information to book should contact the Club’s official Facebook page.

Larne NISC will be providing transport to the game also, departing from the Larne Rangers Club at 1.30pm. for more information contact our Supporters Liaison Officer, Richard Todd.

For supporters travelling by car, take the A36 road toward Ballymena town centre. Continue over the M2 bypass road and into the A26 Larne road link. Continue past the town centre, then once on the North Road take a right turn into Parkway. At the second roundabout take the fourth exit into Warden Street, with the stadium at the end of the street.

The Opposition

David Jeffrey’s side come into the game in 7th place in the Premiership, failing to win in their last 3 games. Their most recent result being Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to Crusaders after extra-time in the Bet McLean League Cup. The Inver Reds will be out for revenge after their last encounter against Ballymena, which saw the Sky Blues come out as 4-2 winners at Inver Park in the beginning of the season.

This weekend will be our first visit to The Showgrounds since our 2-1 Irish Cup Quarter Final victory in 2017, an evening which supporters will remember fondly.
