Larne v St.Mary’s

The 2012s took on a physically imposing St. Mary’s side. The girls passed and moved very well in the first half but couldn’t find a goal to reward their efforts. Larne continued to dominate the game against a team that was much bigger than them physically. While Larne was better technically the other girls were strong and quick to close down attacks. St. Mary’s scored a goal one on one against the keeper and another from range.

It was a good close game and showed how Larne cannot afford to be stand-offish against bigger sides.

Larne v St. Matthew’s

The girls produced a great team performance and their brilliant communication was key. They talked to each other, organised themselves and were clinical in front of the goal. Larne took an early lead but St. Matthew’s quickly equalised. After this Larne clicked into gear and never looked back. St. Matthew’s barely had a shot for the rest of the game. They played some great football and all the girls had shots on goal.
