Larne 3- 5 TW Braga

Larne’s under 9 girls were defeated 5-3 in a tough game with TW Braga. It took a while for Larne’s girls to settle into the game and the final pass was missing on occasion. Despite the miserable weather conditions, Larne battled hard throughout and did well to get 3 goals on the scoresheet. There were a lot of positives to draw upon that can be built on further at training.

Under 11s
Larne 1-4 Ballywalter

It was the first game in the South Belfast Youth League for the under 11s and they were unfortunately defeated. The Larne team was made up of 2011/12 girls compared to 2010/11 in the Ballywalter side. The opposition was a strong physical side but Larne took the lead through a great goal from Sophie Aiston. In the latter half of the match, Larne had a few defensive mishaps which proved costly. Ballywalter were able to score a couple of soft goals. However, Larne created plenty of chances and there was a lot of impressive passing on show. Players of the week- Gemma Stranney- Gemma was named Player of the Match by the referee for her great defending throughout the match.
Eryn Wilson- Eryn who is part of the 2012 group was strong against girls twice her size. She never gave up and had a 10/10 work rate.

Under 12s
Larne 3-0 Dungoyne

The under 12 girls performed magnificently to defeat Dungoyne by 3 goals to nil. They outplayed the opposition and stand-in goalkeeper Imogen hardly had a save to make. It could have been more than 3 had it not been for some good saves from the Dungoyne keeper. The goalscorers were Teagan Gribben, Sophie Jenkins and Cara Noble. The players of the week for the under 12s are Lisa Norris, Sophie Jenkins and Annie McCann.

Under 13s South Belfast Youth League

She rounded off a brilliant performance with a screamer which was set up by the returning Rebecca Hawkins. The entire team can be proud of the attitude and teamwork that they displayed.

Under 16s
Larne 5-1 Carnmoney Ladies

Larne under 16 girls ran out 5-1 winners over Carnmoney in a fine performance. They started the first half strongly, creating plenty of chances but the Carnmoney keeper was up to them.
