Larne YMCA partnership formed

LARNE Football Club have teamed up with Larne YMCA and their After School’s Programme in recent weeks, with first team players attending and carrying out coaching sessions with the children.

The partnership, which spanned out over the past four weeks, saw our players attend Larne YMCA each Tuesday afternoon to meet the young people and set out training sessions to promote a healthy lifestyle and develop their footballing abilities.

The scheme is just one of what we hope to be a number of activities between our club and Larne YMCA in the coming months and years.

Speaking on the 4-week programme, Leanne Doherty (After Schools Play Co-ordinator) said: “We at Larne YMCA were delighted to have the opportunity to welcome the players from Larne Football Club over the past number of weeks.

“All of the young people have really enjoyed themselves and our staff have been very positive in their feedback. We look forward to working with the club in the future.”

The club would like to thank Larne YMCA and Leanne Doherty for their assistance over the past 4 weeks.
