1889 Sports & Social Club

The 1889 will be open from 5pm for those travelling to the game from Inver Park, and will remain open for their return.

Glentoran

Glentoran have started off the season in great form, second only to the Larne with a game in hand for Mick McDermott’s side. It is a repeat of the opening game of the season when there was nothing to separate the sides in a closely fought 0-0 draw.

In fact, the Glens have only conceded one goal in nine Premiership outings to date. They come into this game buoyed by Saturday’s 1-0 win away to Newry City.

The Inver Red

Larne have every reason to be confident approaching this game, themselves. The Premiership leaders produced an outstanding performance in a 4-2 victory away to Linfield last week to maintain their place at the summit. It also made it an impressive eight goals scored against last season’s top two, following the 4-0 win at home to Cliftonville as fortnight ago.

A trip the Oval will always present a stern examination, but Larne travel to the Oval having built a seven-game unbeaten run against the East Belfast side.
