1889 Sports & Social Club

The 1889 will be open from 5pm for those travelling to the game from Inver Park and will remain open for their return.

Dundela

The Duns come into this game flying high in the Championship, having beaten table-topping Loughgall at Lakeview Park on Saturday. That result kept them in third place, behind Annagh United on Goal Difference only. Following Niall Currie’s departure to Portadown, there has also been a change in the dugout in recent weeks with former Ballyclare Comrades boss Paul Harbinson taking over as manager.

In the Shield so far, Dundela have beaten Ballyclare Comrades (on penalties) as well as an impressive 4-1 win away to Carrick Rangers in the quarter-finals. They also count former Larne players Chris Rodgers and Benny Igiehon among their squad.

The Inver Reds

Larne come into this game as Shield holders, having won the competition back-to-back in the last two seasons. The 2020 victory over Glentoran ended the club’s 33-year wait for a senior trophy, while Tiernan Lynch’s side retained the Shield with a 1-0 victory over Linfield in last season’s decider.

Victories over Knockbreda and Ballymena have earned a place in this year’s last four. The Invermen are also riding high in the league, with Saturday’s 5-0 victory away to Portadown retaining their place at the top of the Premiership.
