Ladies under-13’s continue to take giant strides

Larne Ladies U13’s welcomed their Lurgan Town Ladies counterparts to Inver Park on Sunday for the first ever meeting between the sides, as they continued their pre-season preparations.

Playing against the wind in the first half, Larne had a struggle on their hands with the weather conditions as well as a dogged Lurgan side. Larne, however, managed to play some nice football given the conditions, and they went in at half-time with a 2-1 lead courtesy of two goals from the tenacious Mia Snoddy.

With the weather in their favour in the second half, Larne made their advantage count, putting in a dominant display and eventually running out 7-1 winners with goals from the ever solid Anna Clark, a debut goal from Kirsty Wynn and a hat trick from the impressive Morgan Beattie.

Next up for the girls is Crusaders Girls 08’s on Sunday 20th September at Inver Park at 2pm.

Our under-13s girls team is always on the lookout for new players ahead of the upcoming season. If you would like to join an exciting and successful team, please contact manager John Clarke on 07584247206.
