IT was an eventful night at Inver Park as Larne Ladies defeated their Coleraine counterparts 3-1 in a very even match.

Coleraine got the game underway attacking the Bleach Green End and it was a very dominant Bannsiders side in the beginning.

However, 14 minutes in Holly Robinson ran through the defence and slotted the ball home to make it 1-0 to the Inver Women.

Coleraine dominated the second half but goalkeeper Shannon Rea was in great form as she kept the Reds in it to give them the lead going into half time.

Larne got the game underway for the second half and it didn’t take them long to find a second goal. Shairee Nichol brought down Kylie Doherty on the edge of the box and was shown a yellow card. Helen Curneen stepped up and fired a shot in off the bar to give the Reds a 2-0 lead.

Coleraine found a consolation goal on the 59th minute through Caitlyn Gourley’s header at the back post.

Larne regained the two goal advantage through Ellie Houston, as she skipped past two Coleraine defenders and slotted the ball into the net. Unfortunately Ellie had to go off injured shortly after the goal.

Holly Robinson was awarded the Man Of The Match  for a superb goal and starring role as play maker in the 3-1 victory.
