Larne Ladies made their exit from the Super Cup after a 4-0 defeat against Ballymoney United on Friday evening.

The visitors took the lead after just two minutes, when a mistake from home goalkeeper Glass allowed them  to tap home.

Despite having further opportunities to add to their lead, Ballymoney had to settle for a one goal lead at the break.

However, they picked up where they left off and doubled their lead on 47 minutes, as Ballymoney winger O’Hare danced around the home defence to slot home.

Five minutes later and Ballymoney all but sealed the victory, when Moore cut in from a wide position to fire home.

An own goal, on the hour mark, rounded off the scoring when an attempted clearance found the back of the Larne net to make it 4-0

The Inver Women won a penalty with 20 minutes to play, but unfortunately weren’t able to reduce the deficit as Aimee Beggs shot over the bar.

All attention now turns back to league action on Wednesday night as they travel to Portadown – where a win will guarantee William Noble’s side promotion
