Josh Robinson departs Inver Park

Defender Josh Robinson has left Inver Park to join Crusaders for an undisclosed fee.

Josh arrived at Inver Park in the summer of 2020 from Linfield, and was a mainstay of the team alongside Albert Watson and, at times, club captain Jeff Hughes throughout the season.

He was part of the side which clinched last season’s County Antrim Shield as well as European football, via the end of season play-offs.

The 28-year-old found game time harder to come by during this summer’s Europa Conference League fixtures, coming off the bench once in the memorable 1-1 draw away to AGF Aarhus.

Boss Tiernan Lynch explained how the move came about.

“Josh approached us to say that he would like to explore the opportunity of moving on from the club,” he said.

“After conversations took place, we reluctantly agreed to this. From that point onwards Crusaders met our valuation of Josh and we allowed him to speak to them and the transfer was completed.

“We thank Josh for his service to the club and wish him well as he moves on.”
