We are delighted to announce that our home, Inver Park, has been nominated as a finalist in the ‘Sports Venue of the Year’ category for the Northern Ireland Hospitality Awards 2022.

Inver Park will be up against some of the biggest sports venues in the country for the award, with venues such as Ravenhill and the Brandywell Stadium listed as finalists in the category. The winners will be announced in a star-studded night that will take place on Tuesday 31st May, at The Europa Hotel in Belfast.

With the drastic improvements that have taken place at Inver Park in recent years, the past twelve months have seen several ‘firsts’ take place at the stadium with the club’s first ever European games last summer and a host of international fixtures, including NI Senior Women’s World Cup Qualifying win over Luxembourg.

The stadium is now known for being a community hub for all within the town. On the nomination for the award, Chairman Gareth Clements said: “We are delighted to see our home get the recognition that we feel is well deserved through this nomination.

“We have worked hard over the past number of years to make constant improvements to the stadium and when you look back in time, to now, the difference is staggering with the new stands that have been built and the warm feeling that now greets you at Inver Park.

“From day one, we strived to make Inver Park a community hub for everyone and the place to come in the town for football. When you look big at some of the big games and atmospheres we have had and created at the stadium in recent seasons, I certainly feel we have achieved that and we will continue to develop and improve in the years to come.”
