Inver Park Carol Service to take place on Monday 20th December

We are delighted to announce that our Christmas Carol Service will take place on Monday 20th December, at 6.30pm.

‘Carols Under The Lights’ will be hosted in the new Church End stand at Inver Park, with our carols accompanied by the 1st Larne BB Old Boys Silver Band.

We’ll also have some special music on the night, provided by the very talented Music Yard and some other members of the local community.

Our first ever such event took place two years ago in the 1889 Sports & Social club and, while Covid restrictions put pay to our planning a year ago, we are delighted to be able to join together this year in the countdown to Christmas.

After the service, everyone in attendance will be invited into 1889 Sports & Social Club for tea, coffee and hot chocolate refreshments, with festive treats also available.

The event is free and entry into the stadium will open at 6pm, with the service beginning at 6.30pm sharp.

Club Chaplain Ian Cahoon will lead the event, he said: “Lots of people enjoy attending events like this in the build-up to Christmas, but may be a bit more reluctant this year because of the Covid situation.

“This will be outdoors, but under cover because of the new facility the Church End gives us, so we hope everyone will see this as a reassuring event to come along to with their family.

“The 1st Larne BB Old Boys Silver Band were a brilliant accompaniment for our Carols two years ago and it promises to be a great night.”

This promises to be a great night for the whole family. We look forward to welcoming the community into our facilities for a fantastic event, and hope that you will join us on the night.
