Graham Kelly extends Inver stay

WE are delighted to confirm that Graham Kelly is remaining at the club after signing a new contract.

The 21-year-old defender, who arrived from Port Vale last summer, was a mainstay in the centre of Tiernan Lynch’s defence in the Bluefin Sport Championship-winning season.

And the Republic of Ireland underage international will now be on board for the club’s return to the Premiership.

“I’m delighted to be staying,” he said.

“I always wanted to stay at the club, it was just a matter of getting something sorted which suited both the club and myself.

“Everyone knows there was a lot of pressure on us last season, but we stood up to that pressure well and I was delighted to play as big a part as I did.

“It was as much about the squad though, because everyone played their part at some point over the season.

“This year is going to be a lot harder, but it’s up to us as the players to make the step-up.

“We have a good squad here and the players who have come in will make us stronger. It’s a challenge, but one we’re all looking forward to.”

Stay tuned to our social media feeds for a full video interview with Graham.

The next pre-season outing for Tiernan Lynch’s men is Monday’s encounter with Rathfriland at Inver Park. Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
