Five new job opportunities at the club created with JobStart

We are delighted to announce the creation of five brand new job vacancies at the club, in conjunction with JobStart.

JobStart is a new scheme, run by the Department for Communities, with the aim of helping young people who may be at risk of long term unemployment. Targeted at those who are aged 16 to 24-years-old these roles are suitable for people who are either currently unemployed or have recently finished their studies.

The opportunities to become part of Larne Football Club include:

  • Assistant Cook
  • Assistant Grounds person
  • Marketing assistant
  • Admin assistant
  • Club Matchday and Superstore Co-ordinator

These jobs 25 hours per week, for an initial period of six months,  and have a variety of salary bands, depending on the successful candidate’s age.

General Manager Niall Curneen said: “We are delighted to offer these roles within the club, in conjunction with JobStart.

“We feel this will have an enormous benefit to young people in our community and provide an important boost to future job prospects.

“It’s also very significant for the club to have young talent coming in to work with us and further strengthen what we are already doing.”
