LARNE Football Club is delighted to announce that Dean Houston has been appointed as the next Marketing Executive at the club, replacing Chris Liddle who vacates the post following a new employment opportunity.
Dean steps up to the role having been a member of our marketing and media team for the last few years and after starting at the club as part of a year’s placement from Ulster University. Dean will continue to lead the media team’s output working closely with Head of Media Ian Cahoon and General Manager Niall Curneen.
Following his appointment, Dean said: “I am delighted to be taking up this role at Larne Football Club. Since joining here on placement and staying on in a voluntary capacity beyond my placement, the experience I have gained has been priceless and I am proud to be another example of someone who has been mentored and then given an opportunity, just like Chris before me. We have an exciting and creative media team and I can’t wait to continue on our important role at the club.”
General Manager Niall Curneen also added: “Dean has been great to have around the club since June 2019 and has given many hours to his role. He had struck a real relationship up with our media team and so both Ian and I were in agreement that he was the ideal person to take on the role after Chris’ departure.”
Head of Media Ian Cahoon acknowledged the work of Chris Liddle saying: “Dean takes on a role in great shape following the impact that Chris has had over the last few years. Chris demonstrated knowledge and creativity way beyond his years, and I see the same traits in Dean already which excites us all.
“I am also delighted that Chris will remain at the club as part of our media team making valuable contributions as a volunteer in his spare time.”
The Club wish to place on record its thanks for all the work Chris Liddle has put into the role and wish him the very best in his new venture.
