Midfielder David Scullion has been released from his contract, by mutual consent.

The 35-year-old midfielder ends his two year spell at the club, having been an important part of the 2018/19 Bluefin Sport Championship-winning side.

Having arrived at the club in August 2017, David is expected to join Premier Intermediate League side Annagh United.

First team manager Tiernan Lynch paid tribute to the player, who arrived from Glentoran.

“David is a first class player and professional,” he said.

“He was a very significant signing for us two years ago exactly. Things were not exactly as they are now at the club and he was a very important capture for us.

“Not only for his ability, but his experience and professionalism.

“He brought all of those qualities to the club. His goals and performances in that first half of the season he arrived was very significant, as we climbed away from the foot of the table.

“Prior to coming here I know things had been difficult for him with injury and I’m delighted that he had such a good spell at the club.

“I’m also so pleased that he leaves with a Championship winners medal after the big contribution he made last season. He leaves with our thanks and very best wishes for the future.”
