Club Statement on football postponements

ALONG with all other clubs we have been informed by the Irish Football Association that all affiliated football in Northern Ireland has been postponed until Saturday 4th April due to the spread of the Coronavirus.

This development will mean that our next two scheduled Danske Bank Premiership fixtures, away to Linfield today and home to Coleraine on Saturday 21st March will be rescheduled.

In addition to this development, as a club we have decided to close Inver Park for the next 14 days, beginning today (Saturday 14th March).

This will include all aspects of the life of the club, including the use of the pitch, the 1889  Club and club offices.

There will be no football activity taking place throughout our men’s, ladies or youth sections.

We are keen to stress this decisive step has been as a precautionary measure and not in response to anyone involved at the club displaying symptoms of the virus.

Our number one priority is the welfare of all of our employees, volunteers and players, and we trust this will be for the benefit of our whole community.

Office staff will continue to work remotely. Should you have queries please direct them to our General Manager, Niall Curneen. He can be reached via email, niallcurneen@larnefc.com

We want to thank everyone for their support and understanding on this matter, and look forward to getting back to normal when it is safe for us to do so.
