Christmas 2019 toy appeal – Make It Magical!

Oct 22, 2019 | Archive

LARNE Football Club is delighted to announce that we will be running our Christmas Toy Appeal for another year, this time in partnership with Women’s Aid ABCLN and their #MakeItMagical campaign.

Continuing with a similar theme to last year’s toy collection, we ask our supporters to help us make Christmas magical for those in need. You can help by delivering any packaged toys, gifts or even vouchers to Inver Park from Monday to Friday, or on a matchday. Please note of the following delivery points:

  • Monday to Friday : Deliver to 1889 Sports & Social Club at Inver Park.
  • Matchdays: Deliver to Karen Clements in our Boardroom.

Last year, we were delighted to be able to hand over a collection of more than 100 toys at the end of our campaign, which was above and beyond our initial target and solely down to the generosity of our fantastic supporters. This time around, we are hoping to better our previous total whilst also providing for older children who may prefer gifts for a teenage audience.

Lindsay Harris, Chairperson of Women’s Aid ABCLN said “Thank you for so much for helping us ‘Make It Magical’ for children affected by domestic abuse this Christmas.

“Larne Football Club is the first organisation to get behind our ‘Make It Magical’ appeal and you can help us by giving a Christmas gift for a boy or girl, or making a donation.

“We always need gifts for older children, and fuel vouchers are a very practical way to help keep a family warm this Christmas. Every child deserves a ‘Magical Christmas’ and we want to thank everyone at Larne Football Club for your generous support.”

The deadline for donations to be handed over is Saturday 14th December. Thank you in advance to all supporters who generously give to a fantastic cause!

PLEASE NOTE – For health and safety reasons, we ask that all gifts donated to our Toy Appeal are in enclosed packaging and haven’t been opened since purchase.
